1st Davao Youth Olympics unfolds April 27-29

I found this story interesting. I’m just hoping this one is purely sports, you know what I mean what with the election campaign fever.

All factors held constant, I admire the organizers for putting up sports activities like this to inspire the young!

DAVAO CITY (April 19/Courtesy of MindaNews) – Over 2, 000 youth delegates from this city’s twelve political districts will see-action in the first-ever Davao Youth Olympics on April 27 to 29 at the University of Mindanao Matina campus.
The three-day multisports event will showcase out of school youths, school youths and juveniles from more than 180 barangays of Davao City. They will compete in 10 sport disciplines namely: basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, dart, softball, athletics, badminton, dama and sepak takraw.
