Mindanao parents-nurses’ group bat for “selective retake”

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / October 6) – If the government decided to
order a retake of the June 2006 nursing board examinations, it should
only be selective, a spokesperson of a group of new nurses and their
parents from Mindanao said.

Reuben Baldoza, spokesperson of the Nagakahiusang mga Bagong Nurses ug
Ginikanan sa Mindanao (United New Nurses and Parents in Mindanao) said
only those who benefited from the leakage in Luzon should be punished.

“Those from Visayas and Mindanao should be allowed to practice,”
Baldoza said in a press conference here Friday.

The group said they respected the proceedings pending at the Court of
Appeals but they only wanted to ventilate their stand “often shunned
in Manila”.

“Selective retake is the most acceptable and fair way out to address
the problem,” Baldoza told MindaNews. (Read story here.)
