DTI chief offers to mediate over MinBC, PCCI row

Trade and Industry Sec. Peter Favila offered to mediate over the split between the Mindanao Business Council and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, saying it has become “unhealthy.”

He said it has impact on an effort of the government to forge alliances and resources in the private sector as they work for industry clustering.

Favila said the two organizations have to synchronize thier projects and converge so that the government response is clearer.

He said the two organizations have to indulge in constant dialogue in order to resolve conflicts. But he recognized that making the feuding groups talk in the negotiating table will take time. Read an updated version of the story here.
