Pilfer try caused PLDT lines cutoff in Matina, Toril

cable.jpgThe PLDT Customer Service explained that an attempt of thieves to steal fiber optic cables from the PLDT cable line caused the cut off of phone lines disconnecting estimated 13,000 to 20, 000 subscribers in Toril and Matina from downtown Davao City Tuesday.

The thieves eyed the wires exposed to the public near the DPWH operations at the closed Bangkerohan Bridge.

PLDT’s Mindanao Operations Corp is yet to issue a statement on the service failure.

hmmmm?…, that’s weird… I know copper cables fetch a high price because of the current world price of copper, but fiber optic? I doubt it. Must be because they look like the same banana externally😀
