The son also rises: Duterte’s son running as barangay chair

The father is the city mayor, his daughter is the vice mayor, and now, his son wants to be a barangay chair.

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s son and Vice Mayor Sara’s brother Paolo is running as chair of Barangay Catalunan Grande, a barangay in Talomo district with 9,000 registered voters.

The younger Duterte, earlier touted as heir to his father’s hold on Davao City’s politics, runs opposite four other candidates, according to the Commission on Elections Sunday. Read the rest of the report on MindaNews.com.

    We really can’t tell how effective he is going to be as a politician. We can’t judge what kind of politician he is going to be. But at least, he’s taking it step by step. Not the same as those politician-wanna-be that just emerged from nowhere and tried to run as congressman, senator, and even as a president. Since he comes from a family of politician, I doubt he’s going to have a hard time dealing with politics.
